Macie's First Doctor Visit

Macie at Dr. Wiley's office.

Macie and Mommy at Dr. Wiley's office

Macie had her very first doctor appointment with Dr. Wiley. She is doing so well. She weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was still 20.5 inches long. Dr. Wiley did find that her right clavicle was broken from birth, but he said it would heal on its own. She does not act like it hurts her or is bothering her at all. She had to have her heel poked for a second PKU test. She was such a big girl and hardly cried at all.

Here is a picture of Macie sleeping in her bassinet with her new night gown from Aunt Kourt.
Macie fell asleep in her swing and her headband slid down over her eyes. It was so funny she slept right through it.

Busy, Busy

Sorry about the delay in updates. Bryan and I have had some major life changes lately. We have started unpacking at our new house in Clyde, America but still have alot to do. Bryan has been working alot in the yard, cleaning up the billons of leaves attacking our grass and it is looking much better. Macie's room is painted, furniture arranged and thanks to Fay her clothes are washed and ready to go. (Pictures soon to follow) We are getting very excited this week Macie is full term and could possibly come anytime now. We are still commuting back and forth to Lubbock so I can work at Covenant until the big arrival. I will try and update the blog more often, but no promises talk to you all soon.

26 Weeks

Macie is as tall as an English hothouse cucumber and weighs about 1 2/3 pounds. (Length: 14 inches, head to heel.)

25 Weeks

Macie rivals the average rutabaga in weight -- about 1 1/2 pounds. Head to heels, Macie now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
Today I went to the doctor and everything is going great. Her heartbeat was loud and strong. It was beating in the 140's. They also measured my belly and she is growing great. We are so excited I can't believe how fast everything is going. I have been feeling great. Pray that all continues to go well.

It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. It also has a sunroom which I am really excited about. Our new address will be 1713 Alamo Dr., CLyde, TX 79510. We hope to be closing the first of June.

CHANGE

Here is a picture of the baby bedding we picked out. I am really excited about getting her room all ready.

There has been so much going on in our lives. I have interviewed for 2 jobs in Abilene and am really excited about one of them. I hope to be working at Hendricks inserting PICC lines. We also put an offer on a house in Clyde, TX. The offer was accepted and we hope to be closing at the beginning of June. Bryan and I have also picked out some baby bedding for Macie so I thought I would post that so you could all see what it looks like. We are so excited about everything that is going on but need your prayers. Please pray for peace of mind and wisdom and we enter these next few months of chaos.

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!

This morning Bryan and I went to the doctor and found out we are the proud parents of a little baby GIRL. I can't believe it! We are both so excited! I think everyone is really surprised. Most everyone felt like we were having a boy for sure but I guess God has different plans for us. She is beautiful! She already weighs 11 ounces and is doing great. Her brain and heart looked good and she is growing fast. We went on a shopping spree this afternoon and bought some really cute, girly clothes. Some of her first outfits include a pink camo onesie that says "major cutie" on it. We also found some really cute ones that say "daddy's girl" and my favorite is a pink onesie that says "Does this diaper make my butt look big?" We had a fun time shopping for all that pink. Pray that all continues to go well. Thank you Lord for our healthy little GIRL.

This week the baby is the size of an heirloom tomato. The baby is about 6 inches from head to bottom and should weigh about 8.5 ounces.
